Rev. Clyde Dale Edminster
Rev. Clyde Dale Edminster, of Rainier, slipped peaceably away to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 27. He was born Dec. 8th, 1914 in Bashor, Kansas. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice L., who died in 2002 (1 year and 3 days earlier), and eldest son, Douglas, who died in 1979.
Clyde served faithfully in the ministry as teacher, writer, pastor and notably as editor of CHRIST IS THE ANSWER MAGAZINE since its beginning in 1967.
He is survived by his three daughters, Judy and John Smith, Janet and Manley Goodwin, and Sally Edminster, all of Rainier; three sons, Robert and Beverly Edminster of Rainier, Paul and Peggy Edminster of Puyallup and David and Leasha Edminster of Chehalis; 35 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Roy and Dorothy Edminster, Walt and MaryLou Edminster and Opal Ellwein, all of Tacoma and one brother-in-law, Frank Stermitz of Helena, MT. He is loved and will be greatly missed by his family and a multitude of friends and extended family.
Visitation will be from 10 am until 1:30 pm, Friday, October 3, 2003 at Mountain View Funeral Home. A celebration service in honor of his life will be held for his family and friends, Friday, Oct. 3rd at 3:00 pm, in the Mt. View Valley Chapel, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. in Lakewood.
